Bass Mom & Dj CrusadeReview: This is this reviewers first time reviewing for this artist and I must say I am inpressed by the intro on this track so far as it has a catchy dance theme to it however I am more impressed by the use of the snare and the lazers and the catchy synths. This is a real good track for those that like to really get their dance groove on I rate this a 10 for quality, originality, and overall production!

US2K Review: I am yet to review htis mix but it is a very clever techno trance mix with some influence from dubstep at the beginning. The genre seems to be influencing everything all music at the moment. My provisional score is 8 out of 10 until the revie. It is very good though and I recommend everyone has a listen as it gets very catchy and danceable towards the middle, and has some brilliant vox in places.

Here is my latest Progressive Goa Trance Single. There will be a very wild video to accompany it in December time. The beginning will mislead you as it becomes a field rave anthem after about a minute.

DBAReview: Hi Nigel, This is a good basic for a progressive trance song. Nice pads and perc work, but i feel the drumkick is a bit 2 weak for this song. The structure from this song is basic and needs more variation with fx or so.. The end is 2 easy and not dj friendly, so you should work more on the outro. Good try, but needs more work. Grtz Andy Score for now: 6/10

Here's another track to chew on Nige.

US2K Review: This mix begins with what sounds like a dance piano hook/riff. A whoosh soon introduces a techno/dance synth lead, then a crash announces a 4 on the floor bass drum, the basis of the main groove for this mix. This pattern is kept interesting up to the 36 second position with periodic fills and rolls.

After 36 seconds of play the piano leaves the mix and the techno synth takes the lead. Also it is now noticeable that there are claps in the drum groove to drive it and really make the feet want to tap and dance. Shortly after a few repeats and a gliding second synth is introduced with a short drop of the main drum groove and a series of bass drum and snare roll. It plays a panning left and right note pattern that answers the first synth in quite an intricate way without making the musical arrangement too busy. This theme continues to the one minute two second play position at which point another drum fill announces a snare to accent every second bass drum hit. There is also noticeable change in what the second synth which enables it to take lead and with the first synth now taking the role of rhythm and accompaniment for the mix.

This new musical arrangement continues with octave changes and subtle note sequence variations on a base theme until the two minute forty second position. A drum fill or two later and the second synth begins playing a faster catchier note sequence for the conclusion (a change of 8th to 16th notes most probably).

The mix gradually becomes more exciting from this point onwards before a drum roll and a massive crash announces another series of changes. First of these changes is the departure of the snare and then both synths and the bass drum play a more intermittent succession of notes, to affectively provide a feeling of slowing down. The next change is what the slowdown has been for, a major break down bridge section.

The bridge begins at the three minute seven seconds position with a duet of the two synths without any drums but a few well-chosen sound effects, and what the listener may not have noticed because it has been so subtle is the original lead techno synth regaining leadership for the concluding theme, even playing second note pattern at a lower octave (no it is not a bass synth) to reinforce its dominance. The second synth still has an important role though, playing variations of a catchy harmonic hook, answering itself periodically. There is almost definitely a third synth or Ping-Pong delay on the second synth at this point, because the overall musical arrangement sounds fuller. This theme continues until the five minute twenty eight seconds position. After this point a sound effect announces the ending to this mix, which is first the synth from the introduction playing a goodbye note sequence accompanied by some intermittent bass drum beats and fills, followed by the other synths playing some odd stabs to the backdrop of a whoosh sound effect.

The Last seconds of the mix involve an ending note scale and other sound effects accompanied by a surprise return of the snare to play some final drum fills with the bass drum. The mix ends cleanly at the five minute 55 seconds position on the reverb/delay trails from the final simultaneous stabs of two of the synths from the earlier conclusion.

My final evaluation of this mix is:- Structure and arrangement 9 out of 10, Catchiness 7 out of 10, Use of crashes and sound effects to announce changes or variations 10 out of 10, General use of variation and demonstration of musical skill 9 out of 10, Use of reverb, delay, panning, equalisation and general mastering 8 out of 10, Wide audience appeal 7 out of 10 because it leans towards intelligent techno which has a more niche audience than the danceable genres.

To conclude I give this mix a final score of 8 of 10, and highly recommend it to lovers of intelligent techno, some more open minded techno enthusiasts will enjoy it too, and some smarter djs could find part of it to mix into a dance set.

DBAReview: This a nice collab. I love that dark feel atmosphere you have created. Mixing and sounds are nice, but you should work on a dj friendly intro and outro. Good song! Score: 7,5/10

This Mix iin honour of the Wall Street protest on 18 and 19 September.

DBAReview: I feel a lot of potential in this song Nigel. The structure and mixing is real good. Drumwork is good, but i don`t like that kick u have used in this song and also the speed of this song is 2 slow for me. I think between 140-145 would be better for hardtrance.. I feel that the sound design is more from the 90`s, so check out some soundbanks for a more modern sound and u will have a great partytune! Score 7/10

A very recent track i made , i thought you should get a listen as i really like it , hope you do m8!.

DBAReview: A good basic techno song, but needs more work because its now a bit monotone. Use more fx and perc(cymbals, snare, open en hi hats) and a break 2 build up for more variation. Sound design is not bad but i feel u have the same problem like nigel. It sounds a bit oldschool and ravey. Outro needs more work also. A good basic but needs more work. 6,5/10

US2K Review: This is an excellent techno mix. It kind of reminds me of the early days of the Berlin Love Parade. My provisional score until I can review it is 10 out of 10. What makes it really fun to addictive to listen to is a subtle vox driving the mix, and the fact the notes used for the accompaniment are parts of some happy chords.
