US2K Review: This mix begins with a crash an immediate and 4 on the floor beat, with a tech/trance bass line faded in. At the 11 and 26-second positions the beat drops temporality. The later time when the beat returns an accent clap joins the mix. After which the accented 4 on the floor continues on without any change until the 1 minute 3 second mark. Eventually the beat drops, and on the groove arrangement' s return the accent clap does not come back. Shortly afterwards the groove drops again and a catchy trance melody not so smoothly enters the mix. Sassa does use his impressive trademark sweep blend effect to eventually get the melody to work better as a hook by the 1 minute 41 second mark. The mix sounds really good at this point. At the 2 minute 16 mark there is a jet engine sound that announces a middle 8 or bridge piano section, accompanied by a dreamy pads/string line. This is very well done but a little too soon, and the catchy hook should have continued longer, in my opinion. Back to the mix though, after the string/pad and piano section a skilful sweeping down cymbal, and then a sweeping up orchestral sound effect at the 4 minute 53 second mark, announces the return of the hook, but when the drums return it is too quiet. In fact even later the rest of the mix despite excellent crashes, claps and 4 out the floor the hook ( one possibly better than I coudl create ) is never utilised well enough. The conclusion to the track is bass drum, closed hat or shaker and other percussion with fills. The track finally ends at 6 minutes 12 seconds. My original comments on this mix stand, changes are not as smooth as demonstrated by Sassa in previous productions, and also there are sections at the beginning that go on too long without a change, and a hook that is initially played for too shorter time, and when given the chance to be in glory at the end was not loud enough. My review score is still high but maybe not 9. There is very good production, use of sound effects, reverb and evidence of great musical talent in structure and music writing, but this track although having the potential to be a 10 and well worth a listen for progressive trance fans, can only presently score an 8. With work this track could be a club hit.

US2K Review: The introduction of this track begins with some sound effects which almost sound synthetic animal and bird sounds, a throbbing dance bass line and lead synth. After a few bass drum and clap rolls, and 13 seconds a main 4 on the floor bass drum pattern enters the track. Interestingly enough although there is a closed and open hi hat unexpectedly the clap snare used is not accenting but playing an almost rock off beat pattern. This makes the track no less danceable though, as the foot is already tapping at this point. 'Give it Up' continues on with the synthetic animal sounds, but after 37 seconds there is a noise like a power drill in the mix, and even wackier by 55 seconds we have atmospheric steam train sound. A drop of the drums shortly follows this effect. The arrangement left, consists of a clap, a beepy acid-like trance lead, and a bass but this is soon joined by a new vocal shout, and the steam train sound again which announces the return of a swift fade of the original bass drum pattern, this time the clap plays off beat and accent. By the 1 minute 14 second mark this is infectiously catchy with a wicked hook formed by the combination of a trance/acid lead accompanied by an "answering synth". The track continues further with vocals keeping extra interest. The mix finales after a steam train sound with faster variations of the hook, then an effective fade out to nothing. This track I originally scored with an 8 out of 10 which I will rise to 9 now. My reason for this is the structure is very well thought out and the production very polished. Additionally there is good use of imaginative sound effects, vox, fills, and note variations to keep the track interesting. I conclude that "Give it up” is very fun listen and recommend everyone who enjoys dance music to have a listen.

Hi Nige , i couldn't resist remixing your new track , sorry i forgot to ask your permission , do what you want with it m8 , i will not upload it anywhere and you own it.

US2K Review: This remix of Grounded starts with a one of Max' s signatures of his trance mixes, some atmospheric whoosh water splashing sounds. This is followed by a variation of one of the original melodies but with a different beat. It sounds to me that the bass drum pattern is swinging or shuffling ever so slightly with a clap accent. The combination of the swing beat and my original melody line sounds very good. By the 30-second mark another of the melodies enters the mix, adding interest. Interestingly enough by the 1-minute mark the melody originally played on powerful pad strings in legato style is played on a quicker pizzicato plucked trance notes. I think they are 16ths but cannot be sure without seeing the mix file. After a drop of the drums, lots of interesting sound effects including a musical saw at the 1 minute 13 second mark announce a melody variation in the mix, which is shortly joined by some strings playing a more faithful to the original hook line of "Grounded". The track continues in this way until the 2 minute 2 second mark, after which the main drum pattern leaves the mix in the favour of a bass drum pattern that seems to be of a roll or introductory nature instead of rhythmic. A scale of notes to form an effective bridge or middle 8 in the mix accompanies this. After the bridge a melody from the original conclusion of 'Grounded' and a return of the main drum pattern, a piano harmony, and sound effects, and a variation of the 'Grounded' pad hook to form a finale for this mix. The final conclusion is formed from a slow reduction in instrument layers and bass drum variations, and snare breaks that tease the listener into thinking the mix has finished sooner that it will. The final end is a drum roll and a few notes of the lead synth soloing. My conclusion to this mix is very imaginative, interesting with all the sound effe3cts, intelligently structures, and very well produced. This remix of 'Grounded' does not have the anthemia feel of the original but is a different style and still a very good listen so my score is 7 out of 10. I recommend everyone who enjoys trance or techno has a listen.

Hi Nige m8 , new track for you m8 . Turned into a kind of extended mix.

US2K Review: This slightly experimental tech trance mix begins with a well reverb treated "Shut Up" vocal and imaginative sound effects and a rhythmic melody line. After 18 seconds a bass drum is announced by a squelch effect that provides the role of a crash cymbal. Further progressing to the 33 second mark there is a bass drum roll and another hi frequency sound effect that introduces a second lead line that answers the first rhythmic synth. Up to the 1 minute 13 second mark various unexpected but intentional variations and sound effects create a seemingly chaotic mix with sound effects and the "Shut Up" vocal. I can hear what Max is doing, playing a musical game which shows great talent. After the 1 minute 13 second mark hats and an accent clap the track slowly has less musical games and a more danceable feel. At the 2 minute 2.32 mark there is a middle 8 or bridge, indicated by a previously unheard synth sound and a drop of the hat and clap, a variation of the melody and a new sound effects and an additional vocal "was Interesting" which is argued with by original vocal "Shut Up". After 3 minute 14 second mark the hats and claps return and the mix becomes more happy and danceable although there are a few unexpected twists and turns before the 4 minute 18 second mark, a clap roll, and a third melody variation, transform the track into a fully danceable number periodically. The conclusion begins at the 5 minute, 8 second mark, which is the drop of all drums except for the bass drum, sound effects and the repeating of earlier vocals. Finally the track finishes on "That Was Interesting" and an echo treated whoosh sound effect following a key synth sound from earlier. This track is very well produced, use of effects such as reverb and stereo position is intelligent, and I love all the fills on sound effects, claps and bass drums. I am rarely this intricate with my mixes. I can only conclude that this track is a lot of fun to listen to and full of creativity. I have no choice but to say this mix is excellent, score it with 10 out of 10 and recommend everyone has a listen.
