US2K Review: Apologies first this mix was actually produced with Fruity Loops but ended up in the Reason set by a mistake which I will rectify in the future but in the mean time, here is the review as promised. The beginning starts with a powerful trance bass drum pattern. Shortly afterwards percussion a snare pattern, and later an accent clap join the mix. The bass drum pattern leaves very temporarily at the 34 second mark, leaving the percussion to solo. When the bass drum returns this time it brings with it in succession, first an unexpected female vox, then a trancey melody. I can tell this is intentionally for detail, filling out the mix and introductory purposes as it has no catchy hook potential, but the foot is already tapping a this point. At the 1 minute 15 second mark there is a whoosh down and effects the drums drop and at last we do hear the a hook line (main hook) melody that would make the dancers go wild at a field party. This hook is formed by catchy riff played on one synth and harmonised on a second ( or maybe the same one at a different octave ). After about four seconds this riff is treated with filter sweep effects and this is followed by an amazing whoosh up sweep and some other orchestral crash like sounds announce the return of the drums, percussion and accent clap. The mix now very danceable progresses, along the way an extra bang sound effect, and a temporary drop of the bass drum twice as breaks between repeats of the hook, until the 3:23 mark. Then a skilfully placed sweep whoosh effect announces the fall of the drums, and a slow mellow melody on a pad instrument forming a bridge. This pad is treated with a filter sweep and octave change to produce a rising effect. Some orchestral sound effects and bangs and a sweep/orchestral crash sound announces the return of the main hook. The track continues to the conclusion playing the hook with a complete drum pattern, with occasional breaks via a bass drum drop. The final conclusion is on a very industrial sounding crash and drum beat only for 6 to 8 bars and then the crash again to end. My score for this mix is 10 out of 10 because its structure, and sound production is superb. The use of sound effects, stereo positioning and other production technologies is professional. The hook lines are extremely catchy, the breaks and variations are expertly timed and well thought out. I recommend everyone has a listen to this brilliant trance mix., this artist should be signed in the future .

US2K Review: The track begins with high-energy vox. Shortly after the introduction begins on a really danceable dance/techno bass, the hook melody. After a few seconds the bass drum and snare enters the mix shortly followed by a shaker and acid click percussion, instead of the usual hi-hat, forming the main hook groove. At the 29-second mark there is sound effect which sounds like a helicopter slower down which replaces a crash very well to announce a change in the music. There is a break where the hook melody solos with atmospheric sound effects including a smashed glass sound, for a few seconds. After the break the main groove is announced with a replacement sound effect for a reversed cymbal. The groove this time is joined by a hi-hat, sound effects and other percussion is placed on the right of the stereo field, and a distinctly female vocal. This is excellent at this point, reminding me of "David Guetta". At the minute mark there is another break, this time a more complex vocal, and snares, shortly joined by a closed hat and a clap to give the listener more interest. When the main groove returns a very commercial lsounding male vox "Let me take you" enters the mix. The rest of the track continues in this way, driven with clever crashes, and other sound fx, and echoed distorted version of earlier vocals, breaks and variations of the main groove. The final conclusion at 2:43 is on the bass hook line and a sound effect. The whole track has been infectiously danceable, and of commercial standard, I just had to score it at 10 out of 10. This track is definitely worth a listen to everybody.

US2K Review: Lovely Introduction, and catchy danceable hooks, and the use of filter frequency and other effects to vary characteristics, pitch and timbre of lead instrument is very well done. The bassline and pedal instrument used to drive track works effectively with the drums , clap and hats. There is a nice drum drop and middle 8 where filter frequency is used lower the lead and rises it from nothing. The arrangement of instruments and drums steadily builds up again and by the 3 minute mark the hook is in full swing again. Mixing and production is smooth and musical and the structure shows great musical expertise. Now my score is 8 out of 10 and this is why:- The same lead instrument ( albeit a slightly differnt melody ) is used too much, I dont blame you though as it sounds good. Also it is of my opinion that the 2 minute 34 mark was a little late to introduce percussion without the lead being backed up by a string or pad sound. The 2 minute mark was time to use either a very low profile ticking hi hat or ride symbol, or even some tom drums. it would have been an extra nice surprise to the listener as this percussion could be combined when the rest of the rhythm and hook came back in. This would even possible make you get away with using same lead. I really do think at least for a few bars that after track builds back up again that the lead is either played at a higher octave, a different pitch or joined with another instrument. This could even be a delayed by a 16th note copy of the bass sound at a higher octave. These suggestions would be 9 out of 10. A 10 out of 10 would require a string or pad in the middle 8. A very good track that is worth a listen. I have remastered the exported wave file a little applying eq, compression, stereo enhancement, and delay in place
