Techno 4 Mixes.

The mixes on this page are used with the TECHNO 4 programme. If any of the mixes contain any samples from the other EJay programmes then you will not be able to hear the full mix unless you have these programmes as well... The mixes are all zipped, because they are faster for you to download. If a mix has any "imported" or "tweeked" samples, they are normally saved into the mix, but it makes the file size much larger. Any message or text that you want to send with your mix will be added as well, unless stated otherwise..

Please note right mouse clicking the download buttons on this page and choosing save as will not work as they are only links to the actual download page in order for downloads to be counted.
There are currently 57 mixes on this page, the last was uploaded on 26/06/2016 22:58:21.

US2K Review: (Original JJ Review) The extra long intro, at nearly 1:30mins, is essentially a c+p intro with a simple drum line, but just after the vox vocal sample the tune becomes a bit livlier, and raises a bit more interest. The tune starts to build-up into something more respectable, which does have a little bit of impact... lol... The mix breaks down to just about 4:20 where it kicks in with a bit more vengeance for the final and most interesting part of the tune, the end sequence. Not bad, but lacking in that extra something...

Don't know if this one will fit, but I hope it will, as I think this is the best mix I've made so far. Hope you'll agree, Cheers M8. PLUS:- Here's my remix of that tune that was too big. Hope it fits now. Cya M8 cheers.

US2K Review: (Original JJ Review) John has a few versions of this tune, and this one he had to whittle down to get it under the 3MB upload limit...!!! As usual, there is the HG, BG, and GG samples included within the tune, which he thinks is the best mix he's made so far... I think the opposite really, and think it's one of the worst he's made so far... For me, this is just a pulsating, loud kick beat, with a few basey synth's and siren type effects dropped in across a few breaks to offset the repetitive thudding... Still, that's what individual tastes are all about... lol... It may appeal to some out there, because John obviously likes it, but it didn't exactly hit the mark with me... The "over 5.00MB" version which was too big too upload, was played back-to-back as well, and the large file difference only made a negligable different sound overall...

(US2K Says) I think this mix deserved to score morethan 6 out of 10. My score is 7 out of 10.

I really enjoyed making this mix, it's made ??for 70 percent live in the club where I play!!

US2K Review: This mix is yet to be reviewed but my provisional score is 9 out of 10. I really enjoyed listening to it but would classify it as uplifting techno more than club music because the beat is not `up-front` enough, something to listen to in the early part of the evening in a club whilst having a drink instead of to dance to but that is my opinion. It could be included in a mix of more danceable music though later on. This well worth a listen to all techno, club, dance, house or trance lovers.

Here is a mix that is both a dub step and a drum and bass record.

US2K Review: Sorry I cannot review my own music, and please ignore the score too.

Listen, dance, jump in the air and especially enjoy the music!!

US2K Review: This fairly easy listening dance techno mix starts with an interesting bass organ pattern and catchy delayed keyboard melody. Not long after a bass drum joins the arrangement to drive it, joined soon after with a hi hat,. The mix continues to the 42 seconds position before a drum roll introduces further percussion including filter swept white noise and wind sounds and there after progresses to the 55 seconds position where after a short drum departure of the drums it starts to get really good when the first of the vocals enters the mix along with some atmospheric whistle sounds.

The mix gets better and better over the next thirty seconds, at which point there is a heavily oldskool influenced sound, although loose fitting, it all fits together in the way of a good 90s dance record. This organic sound continues to a drum solo with atmospheric sound effects up to the two minute 25 seconds position after which a lovely stuttering synth melody and "out of control" vocal hook create a new theme. A slower synth chord pattern joins the arrangement later and the mix progresses to the three minutes position.

After the three minute position a new set of vocals including "See the Light", and a sound which is like "booing" on a playing field are the key parts of the mix for twenty seconds after which a series of excellent mellow synth patterns take control. The mix then continues to the four minute 16 seconds position.

At the four minute 16 seconds position there is a new instrumental idea before the stuttering synth makes a return shortly followed by a new catchy bass line. The composition comes to a conclusion not long after.

All the way through the mix there is excellent use of drum rolls, sound effects and other musical cue points for addding interest to the mix or announcing major changes.

My final scores are demonstration of general music skill (10/10), catchiness of melody/hook -line (10/10) , Use of sound effects, drum rolls/fills and natural cues in the composition to announce changes or add interest to the mix (10/10), Use of musical melody variations, instrument arrangement changes to enhance listener interest (10/10), Wide audience appeal 10/10), Use of equalisation, reverb, delay, compression, stereo panning and other sound engineering techniques (10/10). This is an excellent oldskool influenced techno production.

Hi m8, Here's my latest mix for you, hope you like it. At first I wasn't sure about it, but then it grew on me, and I changed a couple of things about it, and I think it's ready for the people to hear now. Cya. Cheers, John aka DJ BassBomber.

US2K Review: (Original JJ Review) Funky...??? Wonder where that came from... lol... Be warned here - DJ Bassbomber comin' at you with his HG, BG, GG, and imported .wav samples again...!!! This one will rattle your neighbours ornaments off their shelves if you play it too loud...!!! It's certainly different and original, but I knocked off half a point for those vocal samples...!!! Watch your bass levels if they are adjustable... lol... (Yoda' s Unknown Apprentice says) I like those daft vocals my final score for this excellent techno composition is 9 out of 10.
